RCIA:

NEW-INTAKE  for “ADULT ENQUIRY TO THE CATHOLIC FAITH” 

• ​The RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is a program of induction into the Catholic Church through the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist.  But, more than that, it is a faith journey designed to meet our fundamental spiritual needs as God’s children and help us identify with and become a part of a faith community.   
• If you know of friends who are interested in making enquiry into the Catholic Faith and deepening your personal relationship with Jesus Christ; if you are seeking to learn about Catholicism as the result of an interfaith marriage or other relationship; have not fully completed the sacraments of initiation; or simply wonder what the journey entails, please register by calling at the Parish office (05 5458220), or via e-registration by clicking here.
  
• The sessions will be held in English, Mandarin & Tamil. 
  
• Be a disciple to bring others to know the love of Jesus and His teachings.

• Program will start in July. 1st Preliminary meeting: All who have registered for RCIA, please be present on 16 July, 2026 at 6.30pm in the parish hall. 
  

ST. JOSEPH:

YEAR OF ST. JOSEPH, 2020-2021

• The Year of St. Joseph: December 8, 2020, to December 8, 2021. This celebration is dedicated to St. Joseph, husband of Mary and earthly father of Jesus Christ.
  
• ​Do visit the Year of St. Joseph webpage to continue your reflections on St. Joseph - patron and protector of the Catholic Church, in addition to his patronages of the sick and of a happy death.​

• Weekday: Rosary (E) at 6.30am followed by 7.00am Mass (E)
  
• Weekend: a) Saturday: Rosary (E) at 7.00am followed by 7.30am Mass; b) Sunday: Rosary at 7.30am (E) followed by 8.00am Mass (E); Tamil Mass: Rosary at 9.25am; Mandarin Mass: Rosary at 11.15am. 

CLOSING OF THE ROSARY MONTH:

• (date) Fri 30 October, 2026; (time) 7.30pm Rosary, 8.00pm Mass.
  
• There will be no 7.00am Mass. 
  

SELECTED FOR NEW DIOCESE CATECHISM PILOT RUN

• OMPH Sunday School is pleased to share that we have been selected by the Penang Diocese Catechetical Commission to participate in the pilot run of the new Diocese Catechism Syllabus for children aged 7–17 years.
  
• The pilot run will be conducted over four Sundays, from 11 October to 1 November.
  
• As this is a new syllabus, we kindly seek the full cooperation and support of all parents. After each lesson, a short message with suggested activities or reflections will be shared in the parents’ group for the children to continue at home.
  
• We encourage parents to spend a little time going through these activities with their children to reinforce their learning and support their faith journey.
  
• Thank you for your continued support and partnership. Together, let us make this pilot run a meaningful and fruitful experience for our children. God bless!
  

ALL SAINTS' DAY:

• Celebrated on Sat 31 Oct + Sun 1 Nov

• Children and youths are encouraged to celebrate the Eucharist dressed as your patron saints or your special devotion saint.

 GOTONG-ROYONG:

• In preparation for Christmas, there will be a Gotong-Royong;
• (date) Sun 1 November, 2026; (time/venue) 2.00pm @ OMPH church.
  
• All parishioners and ministry members are encouraged to come and help. Please bring your mops, brooms, buckets, towels, and other cleaning supplies.
