World Day of the Sick
A Day of Prayer and Healing was held on Saturday 11 February, 2017 in the parish hall of Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church in conjunction for World Day of the Sick.
A prayer service and anointing for the elderly and sick was held the church hall at 10am.
Parish Priest Fr Joseph Stephen conducted the service.
“Today we recall and celebrate the apparition of Our Lady of Lourdes to St Bernadette who was
the witness to the apparition where it was revealed to her that I am the Immaculate Conception” said Fr Joseph. “Millions flock to the shrine to experience the healing grace of God and many will testify of the
healing that has taken place at Lourdes. “Not everybody who visits Lourdes gets healed. But people after visiting Lourdes testify how they found hope to continue to respond to sickness and direction and peace in their lives."
"We celebrate this feast in the same manner that God may heal us and bear our sickness spiritually and seek new life”
