The Harmonica Amigos was invited to perform at the Appreciation Dinner for Rev. Fr. Joseph Stephen (Parish Priest) and Rev. Fr. Paul Michael Kee (Asst. Parish Priest), 2016 to 2018 and welcoming Rev. Fr. Patrick Massang (Parish Priest) and Rev. Fr. Philip Lai (Asst. Parish Priest). The Appreciation Dinner was organized by OMPH Parish Pastoral Council. Raymond Ho, The Harmonica Amigos bandleader and I, Elaine Chew, are very grateful to Kenna Lau for the invitation.
Three evergreen songs were performed:
- Love Pledge Beyond The Ocean (a Cantonese song from the Love and Passion drama sang by Liza Wang).
- Tanah Pusaka (one of Malaysia's most patriotic songs in Bahasa Malaysia written by Tan Sri Ahmad Merican just after Independence Day in 1957).
- Edelweiss (English song written by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II).
Last but not least, a very big thank you from the bottom of our hearts to our brilliant organ accompanist, Thevindaran Loganathan for the accompaniment.
