The Parish Human Development Committee (PHDC) of Church of Our Mother of Perpetual Help, Ipoh, Malaysia, organised a Lenten Visit to the Orang Asli Camp in Sungei Sinju, Simpang Pulai, Perak. This outreach project was held on Sunday, 14th April 2019. Food stuffs such as rice, wheat flour, sugar, biscuits, instant noodles, condensed milk, snacks/titbits, toothpaste and some pre-loved clothings were donated to 48 families of the community who are mainly Christians. Seven East Malaysian Catholic Students who are also OMPH parishioners were invited to the outreach and they assisted in leading the initial praise and worship programme and sing-a-long thereafter with the 44 orang asli children participating enthusiastically. Lunch was a simple nasi lemak meal with cupcake and watermelon as desert and a milo drink.
